Everyone asks me: How did you find this?
At the bottom of a list of recommendations I received in my DMs from a follower, it says this: “There is a yurt in Gardiner called bobo’s that does a full lamb too.”
That was enough for me.
I went down the rabbit hole. There are only 22 reviews for Bobo’s Farm on Google Maps. The listing is written in Chinese first, then English. The photos show groups of mostly Chinese people tearing apart lamb with gloved hands. The website links to a form for booking: It doesn’t list a price, a menu, or how many people you should bring.
Once I knew there were at least 10 of my friends interested, I submitted the form. The owner left me his number. His name is Jimmy, and the farm is named for his wife, Bobo. “She’s the real boss,” Jimmy tells me. “She’s a genius on cooking. I even wonder, ‘how does she know all of this?’”
